Yeah I'm glad they didn't go with that look for the game.

No royalties? Code had to come from somewhere originally.

i was under the impression its some black market key bullshit, and that G2A and Greenmangaming aren't having my money go to Capcom and their hoetry. I've paid for early access game Tomas, this is important!!

I thought it was grey market, not black market; meaning they'd be selling keys not meant for retail, but for other purposes which are therefore supplied at a lower price than retail. Thus the cheaper prices, and thus publishers being pissed that their cheaper keys are being sold to the public instead of the retail ones...so they're probably getting cash, just not as much as they "should" be. Just speculation on my part, though.

Think of it like buying an OEM copy of Windows, instead of the full retail version.

I thought I'd add some thoughts based on my hour or so with the game, which is probably not enough to make any judgement calls on, but is still twice as much time as the average game journalist puts in.

1. The art style is still offensive though I must admit my opinion has softened now that I have seen it in motion.

2.  The controls are amazingly intuitive. While most of my previous SF moveset knowledge is out the window, I was picking up moves and combos very quickly just by experimenting. It feels ridiculously smooth. It's not Smash Bros accessible, but you can put a controller into a friend's hand who never played it before and they'll be feeling pretty good with it in 15 minutes.

3. Necali is thoroughly dull to play with. Birdie and Ken are both cooler than ever. Vega may fall into that category as well, though at one point while using him I removed the claw and never figured out how to add it again.

4.  The story mode or prologue or whatever it's called is pretty embarassing. While I will admit the voice-acting is quite good, the cut screen graphics are complete throw-aways. Screams of a rush-job. Some of them are only 2 fights long too.

5.  I really like the stage designs. Head over heels better than SFIV. Probably on par with Third Strike. Still not in the same league as Alpha 2.

I absolutely guarantee IF you had time to spend with Survival Mode, you would LOVE IT! It basically is Arcade Mode - Story Panels + Modifiers on GamePlay that MAKE you learn how to play fast and well!

For the most often complained about mode in the game, it's actually one of the best conceptual differences between this and past SF games!

I thought about it, but I had a limited amount of time, so I had to pick and choose what I tried. I did the character stories for about a third of the characters, and then played a lot of with other people who were hanging out. Overall, it's fun as hell. Not that I ever really questioned that. Just trying to figure out when the hell I can get a PS4 now.

I don't know if I'd call myself a fan but I like him well enough. He is a good addition to Street Fighter V.

I liked Alex. Never quite got the hang of him though, but in all fairness it was tough to get the hang of anyone in SF3. Glad to see him back though. Like I said before I always thought it was odd how they made him the poster child of SF3 and then he pretty much disappeared.

Been playing so much Plants vs. Zombies that I was kinda neglecting SFV!

Today, however, I count myself amongst the Bronze elite!   Nyaa

I believe it's an unwritten rule that anytime someone asks you to help them learn Street Fighter techniques, payment is made in blowjobs.
